Shows, tests and the school year

Dates are set each session and posted on the booking page.

Walk through the room, meet the instructors and try a first form.

Fall session starts
New students start at the beginning of a session or any week with a place open.
The end of each session

Sash tests
Students test in their own class time. Families watch quietly from the bench.

The school is closed for the holiday week.

Lunar New Year demonstration
Every class shows a form at a neighborhood hall. Seating is open and families are welcome.

Performance group placement day
A class for students who would like to join the Saturday group; the coach places each student by form, not by age.

Spring showcase
The whole school shows forms and a weapons routine in the main room, with open seating.

On the day

What a demonstration is like

Every class shows one form, and the performance group closes the program.

Short and quiet
Each class shows a form in a few minutes, to a count, with the instructor at the edge of the floor. Younger students go first.
Plain uniforms
Students wear their school uniform and sash. There are no costumes to buy for a demonstration.
Open seating
Families sit where they like. Phones stay on silent, and we ask you to film from your seat.
