The youngest group is for ages 5 to 7. Adults of any age are welcome, and parents can join the taijiquan class.

Yes. Parents sit on the bench by the window, and the first Saturday of the month is an open watch day. At sash tests and demonstrations, families are welcome too, with phones on silent.

A plain t-shirt and loose pants, bare feet on the mat and hair tied back. We lend a uniform for that first visit.

Students bow in, warm up, practice stances and kicks across the floor, learn a few movements of the form and run it together. Every class ends with a bow out.

Classes are by age, and the adult classes are separate. Parents are welcome in the Tuesday and Saturday taijiquan classes.

No. Every stretch and kick has an easier version, and students loosen up as they go.

There are six colors from white to black. A coach puts a student forward when the skills are there, and every student moves at their own pace. Each color adds a few skills and a form.

It depends on the class, the age group and how many classes a week. Billing is monthly, and the office can talk you through the figures by phone.

Tell us in writing 30 days ahead. The month in progress is billed as usual, and we can talk through pausing for illness or travel.

Make it up in another class of the same age group in the same session. Book it at the front desk or by message.

We show forms at community demonstrations. Entering outside competitions is a family's choice, and the head coach can tell you what it involves.
